Greendale hosts five official dances annually. Individuals who successfully attend all the dances within a school year are eligible to receive a distinctive black t-shirt bearing the inscription "All 5 Dances." Among the confirmed recurring dances is the "Transfer Dance," dedicated to bidding farewell to transferring students. Notably, all credits earned at Greendale are transferable, aligning with the institution's "Six Degrees of Preparation" plan. The process involves the nomination of several students, not exclusively those undergoing transfers, with one ultimately chosen to be honored as the "Transfer Queen."
Other dances held at Greendale:
An annual Paintball Assassin game typically takes place towards the end of the Spring semester, providing a fun way to wrap up the school year. In 2010, the prize was priority registration, followed by a $100,000 cash prize in 2011, and tickets to a touring production of Chicago in 2012. However, in 2015, Frankie Dart, the school's administration consultant, implemented a ban on all paintball contests on campus. This decision was influenced by the high costs associated with cleaning up the school post-game, as well as numerous complaints from the custodial and janitorial departments.
